THE PHILOSOPHY

How we reach to a recommendation

After spending years helping organisations navigate AI, transformation and new business opportunities, the pattern that keeps coming back is that the problem is rarely a lack of ideas or talent but how organisations struggle to connect the dots, agree on what matters and turn scattered initiatives into a clear direction.

That is where we work.

Our approach is informed by strategic thinking developed through Oxford and acknowledged methodologies of Innovation Leadership, and grounded in evidence from the organisation itself. We look at the wider system, challenge the obvious answer and help leaders make choices they can stand behind.

A few disciplines shape how we work:

Start with the whole system
Look first at purpose, players, partnerships and processes. Then step outside the organisation and examine what is changing around it. Only after that should you ask what still holds true at the core.

Challenge the obvious answer
The first answer is often shaped by today’s assumptions. Look for what is being overlooked, what would change the conclusion, and what becomes possible if the problem is framed differently.

Be willing to move
Strategy requires courage. Waiting for certainty often means letting the environment make the decision for you. Direction comes from acting deliberately, learning and adjusting before change becomes unavoidable.

Make the trade-offs explicit
Every meaningful choice closes some doors and opens others. Understand what you gain, what you give up, what the decision depends on and what the longer-term consequences may be.

Commit, but stay open
Once the direction is clear, follow through consistently. But do not become attached to the original answer. New evidence should be able to strengthen, adapt or overturn the decision.

Technology is the tool, not the direction

Technology should serve a strategic choice, not define it. We start with what the organisation is trying to achieve, then determine where technology genuinely helps, and where it does not, to then indipendently conclude with which suits best.

Frameworks that inform our work

Scenario planning

We use plausible future scenarios to challenge assumptions and test whether today’s choices will still make sense under different conditions. The goal is not to predict the future, but to identify robust actions, emerging risks and signals that may justify changing direction.

Strategic Consulting & Innovation Leadership

Our work draws on strategic consulting, innovation leadership and change practices. We challenge assumptions, work with uncertainty, align people around change and help make strategic choices that can be delivered.

Oxford-informed 4P strategic lens

We examine strategy through four connected dimensions: Purposes, Players, Partnerships and Processes. This helps us understand what the organisation is trying to achieve, who influences the outcome, which relationships matter, and whether the way work is organised supports the direction being chosen.

Experience connecting technology, organisations and real customer needs

MeridianAX draws on around 15 years of experience across business development, operations and consulting, including seven years at Microsoft working with various large corporate customers in the Netherlands.

That experience included leading digital transformation engagements, shaping AI use cases, coordinating customers and partners, supporting adoption and translating customer needs into repeatable approaches for wider organisational use.

It also involved bringing lessons from the market back into internal decision-making and helping organisations move from experimentation toward broader transformation.

This practical experience is complemented by postgraduate study in change, innovation and consulting, and executive education at Oxford Saïd focused on AI-driven business transformation.

MeridianAX brings these perspectives together: strategic inquiry, organisational understanding and practical attention to how change actually happens.
